Summary: We had a lovely stay at The Merchant this past weekend. The house was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Bonus- every afternoon they set out warm chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven that were so delicious, how do we get the recipe?!!!

Summary: Our stay at The Merchant was great. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent. We were a quick walk away from all of the spots in Salem we hoped to visit.

Summary: Awesome hotel with loads of character. Felt like stepping into a Tim Burton film and I mean that in a very good way. Great location, great staff, will definitely be back next time I’m in Salem

Summary: This was our best accommodation on our road trip and we do missed this place. This place is a mix between a Hotel and a bed and Breakfast (Without the host leaving there). We just felt right at home. The location is perfect to do do everything on foot. The parking (Extra Charge) was right behind the hotel. Communication was excellent. Kitchen very well equipped for Hot drinks, +++ Free Nespresso machine, Free snacks, amazing hot cookies served at 4pm. The living room is a lovely place to hang out (Amazing when you are jet lagged and you don't want to wake up the whole room at 5 am) The room was big enough for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). Just loved the place and would love to come back one day.

Summary: Super tasteful, nicely decorated, comfortable. Hit the sweet spot, imo, between a b and b and a hotel. Not as old lady dingy as the former, and not as anonymous and cookie cutter as the latter. Text communication was prompt, courteous and not too much. Great spot.
